Ducati India has opened order books for its new Panigale V4 flagship motorcycle in the country. The new Ducati Panigale V4 is available in the standard and V4 S versions with an introductory price of ₹ 20.53 lakh and ₹ 25.29 lakh (ex-showroom, India) respectively. Having made its debut at EICMA last year, the new Ducati Panigale V4 is the closest you can get to the brand’s MotoGP offering and is also the company’s first production bike to get a V4 engine layout. Ducati India has confirmed that deliveries for its newest motorcycle will start from July 2018.

The 2018 Ducati Panigale V4 is the closest motorcycle you can get that meets the brand’s MotoGP race bike. It is the first Ducati motorcycle to mount a four-cylinder engine, derived directly from the MotoGP Desmosedici. The 1103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine uses a 90-degree V4 layout with Desmodromic timing and is capable of producing 211 bhp at 13,000 rpm and 122 Nm of peak torque at 10,000 rpm, paired to a 6-speed transmission. The Panigal V4 is built with lightweight materials with the S version sporting a kerb weight of just 195 kg. This gives the motorcycle a highly impressive of power to weight ratio of 1.1 hp/kg.
The Ducati Panigale V4 S is also loaded to the brim with electronics in order to make the motorcycle easy to ride and forgiving. The bike comes loaded with Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Slide Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Power Launch, Ducati Quick shift up and down. There’s also Engine Brake Control and Ducati Electronic Suspension as part of the package. Riders choose from three modes- Race, Sport and Street, along with the new TFT panel.
Other hardware components include the Ohlins suspension with the Smart EC 2.0 system and brand new Brembo Stylema monobloc calipers. The Panigale V4 gets the best in the business with forged aluminium wheels and the lithium-ion battery.
The Ducati Panigale V4 is an extremely special motorcycle for the brand and its most ambitious yet too. Ducati India has introduced the model with a fantastic price in the country, which opens it to a host aficionados. For 2018, only 20 units of the Panigale V4 have been allocated for the Indian market, and each of these reservations made before May 31, will include an exclusive numbered memorabilia on delivery.
In addition, the first two Panigale V4 customers will win a sponsored Ducati Riding Experience racetrack course that will be held in June this year in Malaysia at the Sepang International Circuit. The DRE course will help the owners understand the Panigale V4 better and get the most of the motorcycle under different riding conditions.
