COPPERAS COVE, Texas (KWTX) Members of car clubs in Central Texas showed off their tricked out rides at the Copperas Cove Junior High School Christmas Car Show.
Felix Alaniz is a student counselor and created the event to help raise money for school activities such as field trips.
Over 60 cars including imports, classic cars, truck and bikes lined up outside of BullDawg Stadium.
As people gathered to check out the cars judges were trying to decided who would place based on how clean they were, originality – and also modifications made.
The event also had vendors so people can do some late Christmas shopping.
Even though this event was to help raise money for school activities Alaniz says it was also a lesson in disguise.
“A lot of these cars are very expensive and it’s important for the kids to know that with hard work and a proper education they can one day have one of these cars for themselves,” Alaniz said.
Winners of the car show received trophies.
Alaniz says even though this was the first year he hopes it will be the start of a new tradition.
