2018 Honda Shine, Livo & Dream Yuga commuter motorcycles LAUNCHED as Hero Super Splendor/Passion rivals

Honda has just launched the 2018 editions of the CB Shine 125, the Livo 110 and the Dream Yuga 100 commuter motorcycles. While the CB Shine takes on the Hero MotoCorp Super Splendor, the Livo 110 and Dream Yuga challenge the Splendor Plus and Passion Pro range of commuter machines that Hero MotoCorp sells. The 20187 Dream Yuga is the lowest priced among the trio, with prices starting from Rs. 52,741, ex-showroom Delhi. The Livo 110 and CB Shine SP 125 are pricier, at Rs. 56,230 and Rs. 62,032 respectively. All three motorcycles are big volume pullers for Honda in India.

The Dream Yuga and Livo 110 share the 110cc, four-stroke engine that makes 8/8.2 Bhp (Livo) of peak power and 8/8.6 Nm (Livo) of peak torque. A four-speed manual gearbox is standard. Claimed fuel efficiency and top speed figures for the Dream Yuga are 72 Kmpl and 87 Kmph, and for the Livo 110 are 74 Kmpl and 86 Kmph. As for changes, the Dream Yuga gets refreshed graphics, a new instrument cluster design, body colored rear view mirrors and a new color: Black with Sunset Brown Metallic. A HET low resistance tire and a low maintenance seal chain are standard on both the 2018 Dream Yuga and Livo models. Powered by a 125cc four-stroke engine that outputs 11 Bhp and 10 Nm, the CB Shine SP 125 features new styling and features to make it a fresher motorcycle for 2018. HET (Honda Efficiency Technology) is standard, and this is said to boost mileage by reducing rolling resistance. Styling changes include a new tank shroud and revised graphics. As for new features, the motorcycle gets a new instrumentation cluster with Service Due Indicator & clock and a new low maintenance seal chain. The motorcycle is available in five paint schemes: Pearl Siren Blue / Geny Grey Metallic / Black / Athletic Blue Metallic / Imperial Red Metallic. Drum, front disc, and CBS variants are on offer.
